**Exciting New Opportunity - Catering Assistant - 30 hour contract**

Southend Care’s 60 bed Care Facility Brook Meadows House are looking for people who care about making lives better and go that extra mile. We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our catering team to provide a high-quality service to our residents and service users.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with food preparation in line with menu framework that supports the delivery of high-quality catering services that cater for individual needs, including special diets.
- Contribute and participate in special events held within the home, ensuring a customer focused service is provided at all times
- Serve meals to the residents and service users and ensure area is clean and safe and in accordance with food hygiene and safety standards
- Carry out all kitchen cleaning tasks within established procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.

**We are looking for an individual who has**:

- A personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
- Basic food hygiene certificate is required
- Previous experience of working in hospitality or catering environment and/or care setting is desirable
- High level of customer service
