- The Health, Safety and EPRR Co-ordinator will support the EPRR Manager with all operational health and safety, and emergency preparedness, response and recovery (EPRR) aspects.
- The Post Holder will work across the Trust to support the portfolio, providing assistance with operational, tactical and strategic workstreams to ensure the safety and ongoing service deliver across Trust services.
- Contribute to Trust emergency preparedness arrangements whist ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidance.
- Co-ordinate the annual self-assessment process in line with the National EPRR Core Standards.
- Assist with the management and ongoing oversight of internal incidents, ensuring they are managed appropriately, and staff well supported.
- Co-ordinate the Trust’s On-Call arrangements.

1. To work with and support the Health, Safety and EPRR Manager to ensure that the Trust is able to manage and respond appropriately to all levels and types of disruptive incidents.
2. To support the Health, Safety and EPRR Manager undertake activities, training and initiatives.
3. Co-ordinate the Trust’s On-Call mechanism, including the effective development, management and distribution of the On-Call rota.
4. Provision of advice, support and information to the Trust regarding EPRR and business continuity queries.
5. Collation of On-Call activity and the production of supporting reports and feedback.
6. To support the Health, Safety and EPRR Manager to represent the Trust at, and coordinate input to and actions from, external forums.
7. To liaise and work collaboratively with partner organisations, as necessary, to support the delivery of EPRR functions and joint working.
8. Contribute to audit and governance processes.
9. Work with the Health, Safety and EPRR Manager to support the delivery of learning from and training from any critical incident, exercise, training event or any other circumstance that informs the Trust’s undertaking of its duties in EPRR.
10. Support the delivery of emergency planning training and awareness programmes.
11. Support the testing and exercising workplan to assess the Trust’s ability to respond to and recover from a major disruption to service delivery, co-ordinating actions and timetables.
12. Provide support and assistance in the Trust response to an incident situation.
13. Work with the Health, Safety and EPRR Manager to hold centrally all EPRR documentation.
14. Ensure all Health, Safety and EPRR policies, procedures and documentation is reviewed within the necessary timeframe.
15. Ensure the Health, Safety and EPRR intranet pages are reflective and inclusive.
16. Support the annual self-assessment process in line with the NHS national core standards framework.
17. Support the development of update reports for presentation at the Risk Reduction and EPRR Group, ensuring that paperwork is accurate and up to date.
