**Salary**: PPS4 £21,189 (£15,913.22 actual salary)

**Job Type**:Temporary Contract (1 year), 32.5 Hours Per Week 39 Weeks Per Year (Term Time Plus Training Days)
**Start Date**: March 2023

**The Role**

Working alongside another Science Technician in school you will provide effective technical support to the science department in preparing equipment and materials required for practical science lessons.

Technicians are responsible for the cleaning and storage of equipment, as well as maintenance of stock and the correct storage of chemicals.

**Qualifications/Skills**
- GCSE English and Maths grade (A*-C) or equivalent
- Good communication skills: oral and written
- Ability to prioritise workload and organise work schedule
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
- Accurate record keeping
- Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and ensuring and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Flexibility with a willingness to adapt working patterns to fit the needs of the academy
- Must accept and actively support the Trust’s agreed values
