We are looking for a Lead Document controller for our client based in Royston. This is a long term contract role.

The role is to be responsible for the storage and revision control of all project deliverables and associated documentation. This includes engineering design deliverables, key contract and procurement documentation and documentation arising from the construction and commissioning phases. This position is responsible for supporting, mentoring and training new members of the project document control team.

**Principal accountabilities**
- To assist the Project Management team in preparing the Document Management Plan and updating this throughout the project life cycle and ensuring alignment with EPCm contractor’s own procedures
- To create and maintain the project Master Document Register (MDR)
- To maintain status information on all project deliverables and documentation, including ensuring superseded documentation is properly archived
- Control of documents issued to and received from EPCm contractor, supporting a coordinated response within the contractually agreed timeframe where appropriate
- Keep a record of all correspondence within the Project, incoming and outgoing
- Provide effective management of contract documentation for contract administration purposes
- To audit sub-contractor files for compliance with required project documentation and escalate any deviations to Project Manager
- To support in coordination of contractor valuations for Project Management approval
- Support with preparation of SAP requisitions, Ariba orders and invoice payments (to be approved by the appropriate authority)
- Support with the implementation of NDA’s with suppliers
- Defining training requirements and support the integration / onboarding of new members of the Document Control team
- Assist in conducting the audits that are required by the Project, such as QA, document protocols and administrative procedures
- Assist in the organisation of the various project meetings, workshop reviews, booking rooms and ensure the correct personnel are invited
- To carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed

**Qualifications/ knowledge/ experience**

- Extensive experience working in similar Document Controller roles in a multi-disciplined Project Team
- Demonstrable IT skills using relevant technical software packages as well as MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Projects, Adobe and 4 Projects with Viewpoint software
- Proven track record in office resources management
- Experience of project delivery processes including all stages of a project from concept to delivery

**Salary**: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
