Job Summary

Sitting across our three business lines; Civil, Defence and Engines at our East Cowes manufacturing plants you’ll do just that. Established in 1901, one of our older production sites with a workforce of circa 800 employees. Our East Cowes plants, Isle of Wight are where we design, manufacture, test and repair high performance structures and systems. We have two facilities on the Island; Falcon Yard, Ferry Road and Osborne Site, Saunders Way. Both locations employ the company’s distinct competencies in major assemblies and composite structures for the global aerospace market. Our customer base includes Airbus, Astronics, BAE Systems, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Cessna, Cobham, Honeywell, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Rolls Royce and Triumph.

The role exists to support the day to day program operations of the business and be responsible for the administration and activities associated with control and monitoring of progress, scope, cost and resource management within the program.

You will support in the representation of the customer’s needs to the business to include Demand, Change & Stakeholder management. You will also support in internal reporting, Risk & Opportunity management & growth/cost reduction activities whilst ensuring on time delivery and too quality of product.

This role will see you working between both sites (with Osborne as a main base), working office hours on a 37 hour basis.
Job Responsibilities

Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are applied and that their assigned areas are a model of a world class healthy and safe working environment

Responsible for providing Commercial and administrative support to the IPT team

Responsible for the weekly/monthly reports within the program

Reviews customer purchase orders for acceptability (terms & conditions, pricing, delivery, specifications, government regulations and legal requirements) and prepares sales order and related directives

Work closely with Value Streams on order-handling internally as well as support CMs, COs and PMs in the forecasting process (MPS &SIOP analysis)

Preparing and maintaining the customer outlook for budgeting purposes

Supporting Risk and Opportunity Management activities and managing the risk register to control and mitigate the risk exposure

Point of Contact with customer for on-site scheduling

Intensively liaise with customer in daily meetings

**Coordinate priorities internally between Operations team**: Manufacturing engineering, logistics and team leads

Active involvement in problem solving

What you'll bring

**Essential**:
Proficiency in Microsoft Packages

Experience of planning programs and production schedules

**Desirable**:
Experience coordinating programs within a manufacturing setting

Previous administrative experience

Commercial awareness

The successful applicant for this role will be self motivated, with a drive to succeed and develop. The role will require working alone and allocating time between both sites, so you'll be comfortable working independently.
