Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our charity organization as an Apprentice Fund Raiser. As an Apprentice Fund Raiser, you will work closely with our experienced fundraising team to develop and implement fundraising strategies to support our charitable initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in the charity sector while making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the fundraising team in planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events and campaigns.
- Research potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities to support fundraising efforts.
- Help create compelling fundraising materials, including written proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor letters.
- Assist in maintaining donor databases and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement creative fundraising ideas and initiatives.
- Participate in donor meetings and events to promote the organization's mission and build relationships.
- Support the organization's online fundraising efforts, including managing social media accounts and crowdfunding campaigns.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities, providing regular reports and analysis to the fundraising team.
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in fundraising and the charity sector.
- Appreciate how to deal with negative situations if people are in a hurry or simply not interested.
- Be creative and entrepreneurial to constantly find new ways to raise funds.

Entry requirements
- Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent qualification.
- Genuine passion for charitable work and making a positive impact on the community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word, excel and power point.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for fundraising events when required.
- Knowledge of the North London area and its local community is a plus.

Training to be provided

You will undertake the Fundraiser level 3 apprenticeship programme.
