**The Role**

As a Casual Funeral Operative with John Beattie and Sons, you will provide the highest standards of professionalism, care, and service to our communities. You will assist Funeral Directors to conduct funeral services and provide a 24 hour on call service as part of a rota system. This role is based in our Hawick office and covers the Scottish Borders.

**Job description**

Assist the Funeral Directors in all funeral and memorial duties required to fulfil client’s instruction

Assist in the identification, removal and transport of the deceased in a dignified, caring and compassionate manner

Liaise with colleagues to ensure vehicle maintenance checks and valets are carried out

Participate in an on call rota to maintain a 24 hour service

**Salary and benefits offered**

Hourly rate of £11.40

Weekday on call retainer £25.00

Weekend on call retainer £40.00 per day
