We are looking for an experienced assistant psychologist who has experience of working with professional groups and holds a good understanding of the psychological formulation process. This role focuses on systemic interventions to provide stability to young people without the need for sustained and restrictive inpatient care.

The role involves assessment, formulation, supporting development of the role within the service, understanding and implementing a systemic approach to community focused discharge pathways including referrals to Intensive Residential Outreach Care service. You will be offered regular supervision and the role provides opportunity to develop relevant skills for further psychological training. Previous Assistant Psychologists within the WMCPC have accessed training in DBT, CBT and NVR.

Support and enhance the professional psychological awareness within professional systems and caregivers within the service through assessment, formulation and delivering safe, effective and evidence-based psychological therapies under the supervision of qualified psychologists.
- Undertake indirect work with professional networks individually or within group settings as directed, within the scope of the team and service policies and procedures. Clinical work will include use of remote and virtual platforms.
- Work closely with qualified colleagues on research, audit, Data collation and teaching projects and clinically related administration including the collection and input of data.
- Assist with team and service-related activities and goals.
- Be involved in the development and delivery of a range of training to staff and other stakeholders/professionals as required.
- Support the development of research and evaluation processes attached to IOCMS and West Midlands CAMHS Provider Collaborative as a whole.
- Ensure Clinical Governance and operational policies are adhered to whilst working autonomously as required.
