**Poject Officer**

**Salary**: £23,000 - £26,625 (Grade C). Applicants should note that appointments are typically made at the lower end of the salary scale.

Fixed term, 2 year contract (until 31st March 2025)

Location: County Durham Sport Offices, however you will be required to travel within County Durham and occasionally regionally. County Durham Sport has a Hybrid Working Policy in place.

**About the role**

County Durham Sport is looking for a talented and versatile Project Officer to help support the delivery of a new National programme on behalf of the Active Partnerships network. This is an exciting opportunity to create sustainable and impactful change in the level of access to sports facilities across County Durham for children and young people and local communities. The project will make a direct and measurable contribution to our wider mission of tackling inequalities and transforming lives through sport and physical activity.

You will be required to support the Programme Coordinator (Children and Young People) in the implementation of the programme throughout County Durham.

The role will require you to connect with internal colleagues, in addition to liaising with external partners and supporting implementation plans. You will work with partners to identify and engage with key target groups, ensuring that physical activity is sustainable, safe and appropriate for the needs of children and young people and local communities.
