Turcan Connell is seeking an IT Trainer to work in our IT Training team. This role offers an exciting opportunity and is based in Edinburgh whilst also supporting our team in Glasgow.

The position is on a full-time permanent basis. Initially full-time office based, but in the long term the Firm supports a hybrid working approach through our Smarter Working policy.

**Responsibilities**

The IT Trainer will support and assist the IT Manager in providing technology training to all Partners and employees in supporting the Firm with existing and new system roll outs.

Core duties of the IT Trainer are:

- Assist with creating, designing and delivering detailed and effective training materials to support employees in the use of all business systems;
- Deliver classroom-based, 1 to 1 and seminar training both in person and online;
- Support, mentor and coach learners across all Firm systems;
- Evaluate and develop a training schedule identifying appropriate follow up or support as needed;
- Support the Induction process and the journey of new colleagues, delivering Induction training and refresher training on all systems used across the Firm;
- Experience of coordinating meetings and courses, documenting attendance and feedback to the IT Training Manager;
- Liaise with the helpdesk, analysing calls and producing communication around any trends that training can assist. Provide accurate information and advice on training requirements;
- Maintain and update the training database on leaners training and run reports on training required or scheduled refresher sessions; and
- Provide assistance with the testing on systems.

**Skills/Qualifications**

We are ideally looking for an individual with:

- Previous experience as an IT Trainer within a professional services environment would be advantageous;
- Experience of creating training courses, supporting documentation and learning paths;
- Experience of training in document management systems, time recording systems and practice management systems would be advantageous;
- Pro-active, confident, flexible, self-motivated and highly competent individual who is able to work with own initiative with the ability to bring positive change to the Firm; and
- Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills are required for this role as is the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
