Machine Operator

**Keyworker / Machine Operator**

Work Available - All year round

Working 8-12 Hours a day Maximum 60 Hours a week. Shifts Work -Flexibility required due to which department you will be assigned to. Normal Start times 06:00-08:00 (Flexibility required during busy periods) When its busy there may be a requirement to start 06:00

Rota System in place so some weekend work will be required during peak times

Standard Rate £9.59, Overtime after 39 Hours £14.40 Weekly Pay once training is complete standard wage goes to £10.28 and overtime £15.42

**Duties -Full Training will be provided**
- Ensure that the working spec is on the line before the production run has started.
- Ensure that all operatives that are working on the line are aware of the product quality requirements to be packed.
- Ensure the correct dates, labels, packaging, and tray ends are applied to the product.
- Report any faults or damage to machinery to the Production Manager.
- Ensure a clean, tidy, and safe working area with no health and safety issues at all times
- Implementation of quality control procedures, checking, monitoring, and accurately reporting on product quality.
- Responsible for meeting production goals and targets, Supervising Production Operatives wearing Correct PPE
- Responsible for the quality and the running of the machine from start to finish
- Responsible for personnel you are working with and ensuring they are doing the job that is required of them.
- Responsibility is for the machine set up at the beginning of a shift (all the machine)
- Ensure that if there is a problem with the machine that cannot be rectified by yourself that you liaise closely with the engineer
- Ensure correct and timely communication with department supervisor throughout your shift highlighting issues when they arise.
- Ensure that all QA & Health & Safety procedures are followed to ensure attainment of BRC accreditation, compliance with supermarket audit requirements & adherence to all relevant legislation.

**No previous experience required but always helpful and due to the location of the factory the ability to drive is desired as location is not accessible by public transport. Location is 19 miles north of Berwick upon tweed**
