The Mechanical Transport Department (MT) provides a vital role in support of the UK’s Principal Military Headquarters at Northwood HQ.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Driver to portray a professional image in delivering a first-class service to both military and civil servants.
**You will**- Drive a variety of vehicles within the pool, ranging from cars to minibuses.
- Provide services in accordance with both MoD and or civilian regulations.
- Complete first line maintenance, checks in accordance with vehicle specifications and requirements.
- Valeting and preparation of vehicles when not on driving duties.
As part of the Driver Team at Northwood HQ, your standard working hours are organised according to a 12 week shift pattern which will require you to work 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday within this period. For this reason, ideally you will reside within 30 mins travel time to Northwood HQ.
**We’re looking for**
- Driver CPC Qualification card (preferable).
- Driver Tachograph Card (preferable).
- Professional driving experience.
- A good geographical knowledge.
- Experience working in a transport environment.
- Extensive knowledge of driving regulations and drivers hours Regulations
