**Job summary**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Remediation Strategy Division of the Building Safety Programme. The aim of the Building Safety Programme is to deliver an
ambitious system of reform, as well as a historic cladding remediation programme, with the aim of ensuring high-rise buildings are safe, and that residents feel safe in them, now and in the future. Our work involves a high level of Ministerial engagement, public and media interest.

The Remediation Strategy Division is a welcoming, collaborative place to work,

Supportive team culture, regularly celebrate achievements and place a real focus on staff development. The team is expanding to drive forward the strategy, governance and performance management of the remediation portfolio encompassing remediation programmes and policy.

**Job description**:
This is an exciting opportunity to support governance of the remediation portfolio through two portfolio boards. You will have regular exposure to senior staff and visibility across the remediation portfolio. You will see how decisions are made by directors and the director general, and work with a wide range of colleagues at all grades. The role will be fast-paced at times and is varied.

The postholder will:

- Secretariat for two portfolio remediation boards, ensuring that boards operate effectively, and board products are produced to a high standard. This includes commissioning and drafting products.
- Monitor and report progress of the remediation portfolio.
- Take responsibility for developing, maintaining, and distributing board products. This will include preparing agendas, maintaining risks, issues and action logs, performance packs, recording minutes and tracking actions.
- There may be ad-hoc governance projects and commissions which you may lead or support.

**Person specification**:

- Excellent IT and organisation skills, with the flexibility to turn you hand to different tasks as the situation demands.
- Organisational skills - the ability to manage multiple competing priorities concurrently, and at pace.
- Administrative skills, including developing, implementing and maintaining processes and systems, and handling sensitive information.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to produce high quality board products.
- Attention to detail, especially when working in a fast-paced environment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to simplify processes and drive improvements.
- Flexible and inclusive approach to delivering work.
