The opportunity:
The role is to create an entry-level pathway into the EMEA HR Shared Services team at Lonza and will support the EMEA HR & Payroll Services team in providing an efficient and streamlined, first-class service to the business, in all HR Services related topics.
As the HR services Apprentice you will expected to undertake a variety of duties, both independently and under supervision, gaining experience and exposure across a wide variety of HR tasks and processes. This is a great opportunity to work and learn from a diverse, professional HR & Payroll team.
Full apprenticeship training will be provided, with the post holder working towards a Level 3 HR Support qualification (CIPD Level 3).
Key responsibilities:
- Build sufficient knowledge throughout all aspects of HR Services on a rotational basis, by shadowing and participating in training sessions, to ensure relevant skills and experience are obtained
- Responding to employee queries via our ticketing system - exposure to topics such as hires, terminations, benefits, family leave, employee payments, time & attendance
- Creating/checking employee documents from templates i.e. Contracts, job change etc.
- Document administration i.e. entering employee data into HR Systems
- Getting involved in Employee Engagement
- Support payroll administration, processing activity
- Collaborate with other HR functions e.g. recruitment, talent acquisition, total rewards, HR digital, to gain a greater understanding of how HR is structured at Lonza
- Support with work instruction updates
- Support the day-to-day operation of the EMEA HR Services department
