**Head of Strategy - SITA at Borders**

As Head of Strategy - SITA at Borders you will support the Head of Sita at Borders in establishing and executing the strategic direction of the business. You will be accountable for steering the long-term strategy and direction of the Borders business to meet our strategic goals.

Reporting to the Head of SITA at Borders, you will be a part of the Border Management team - SITA’s Border Management business, SITA AT BORDERS, has high growth aspirations, targeting 20% p.a growth over the next five years.

Faced with ever growing security threats from terrorism and international crime, together with the escalated focus on pandemics and health risks, governments are investing in new digital ways of working to protect their borders whilst improving operational efficiency. At the same time, governments are looking at how they can open up their borders in a safe way to improve national prosperity by promoting trade and tourism into their country. Travelers are demanding a safe and seamless travel experience and we need to find new ways to enable the easy movement of goods worldwide. The border of the future will be seamless yet secure. It will be a highly effective and agile, digital and integrated border with decisions made well in advance of the border.

**Qualifications**:
**What you will do**
- Development of the SITA AT BORDERS Business Strategy (BU Growth Plan), working closely with the Head of SITA AT BORDERS;
- Ongoing management and monitoring of the execution of the growth plan;
- Leadership and management of the Market Strategy working with other parts of SITA to ensure its success;
- This includes the production of regular reporting on the status of the strategy and execution plans;
- Leadership of the incubation of new business ideas, working closely with the Product teams to bring the ideas into the product creation process;
- This includes the leadership and reporting of the Borders ‘Big Bets’;
- NB: Product innovation is the responsibility of the product teams and not the Strategy function;
- Management of the Borders User Forums to support the strengthening of relationships with our customers and industry thought leadership;
- Management of our strategic business Partners and ensuring alignment with other parts of the Borders business;
- Management of our Acquisition Plan. This includes the identification and targeting of potential acquisitions working with the central Acquisition team on specific opportunities;
- Development and management of the relationship with Industry Bodies / Organisations to support our growth and market positioning;
- Ownership of the Borders Marketing function, including the creation and management of the BU Marketing Plan, working closely with the product managers;
- Maintaining our Competitor and Market Intelligence, working with the central Competitor Intelligence unit as required.
- This includes the ongoing management of the Borders Market Intelligence Power BI to ensure we have an up to date view of what each country has in place;
- Providing pre-sales customer engagement where required in support of our business growth;
- Member of the SITA AT BORDERS Leadership Team, including providing support as required across the business.

**Who you are**
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a related role;
- Experience in Border Management essential;
- Track record of achieving revenue growth;
- Experience of working in a matrix environment, liaising with different teams to ensure overall Business Unit success;
- Development of strong relationships with key senior-level stakeholders across SITA including the GEOs, Technology and Engineering and Strategy.
- Leadership skills to motivate and drive the strategy both within the team and wider SITA;
- Strong communication skills.
