Major Recruitment hiring Bakery Operatives in partnership with Nicholas & Harris is one of the UK’s leading artisan and speciality bakeries, with a heritage in craft baking dating back to 1840. It became part of the Finsbury Food Group in 2003. The business now produces a wide range of products, including sourdough and speciality breads, rolls and hot-cross buns for major UK supermarket and foodservice customers.

**Job Purpose**

As an Operative for an area within the production department, the role must deliver on all KPIs set out by the business while working as part of a team. Ensuring that you work safely and hygienically while producing a safe, high quality product for our customers

Shift - 6pm till 6am

4 on / 4 off

**Role Key Accountabilities**
- Responsible for accurate picking and packing of product
- Communicating with peers to ensure that issues affecting line performance are dealt with effectively
- Develop a knowledge of the Company’s product range from a production perspective in order to facilitate more flexible working and understanding of production issues.
- **Safety **Leading by example by working in a safe manner at all times Being proactive in the role by reporting issues.
- **Quality **Driving quality standards within the remit of the role, ensuring that quality specifications are met.
- **GMP **Taking pride in their area of responsibility, ensuring a safe, clean and well maintained area.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Good communication skills
- Understanding and experience in a factory environment with bakery skills an advantage
- Basic computer skills
- Previous experience is not essential, but you will need to be comfortable with being on your feet
