**Overview**

We are looking for a Operations & Finance Assistant reporting to the Operations Manager. Assist the Financial Controller in managing the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping needs of the business and work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee daily business admin tasks. Ideally looking for someone who has experience in working with Xero, Stripe and has worked in procurement.

**You will**
- Reconcile the banks, Stripe and credit card transactions that are pulled into Xero.
- Assist in managing weekly payment schedules with our supplier partners and prepare weekly payment summary for FC to review.
- Post sales and purchase invoices using Hubdoc/Dext.
- Assist procurement dept in uploading daily supplier invoices on to the Materials Market platform and follow up with general invoice discrepancies with procurement dept.
- Assist in raising commission invoices & purchase orders for manual orders
- Process returns and cancellations on Materials Market platform and liaise with customers when necessary

**Requirements**:

- Experience using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages
- Experience of using Xero - minimum 1 year
- Experience of general invoicing practices, VAT etc
- Experience and knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- Experiences working within a construction company preferred - not essential
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with accounting software, such as Xero or QuickBooks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £23,500

**Schedule**:9am-5pm M-F
