We are a small but ambitious and forward-thinking charity supporting people with sight loss in Sussex. We're currently a team of 11 staff, 7 trustees and a large group of volunteers and we're looking for an experienced and motivated person to join us in raising money to deliver our services.

This role would suit someone who enjoys autonomy, managing their own work, with the freedom to explore new ideas, but is also a good networker and happy to get involved in the community. If you like to learn and develop and would like to work for a charity that values purpose, impact and sustainability, then this will be a good fit

We mostly work from our office in Rowlands Road, Worthing, but there is some flexibility to work from home if you need to, and there will be events and activities that require being out and about.

The position is 2 year fixed term with potential to be permanent.

**Fundraising Officer (2-year fixed term contract, potentially ongoing)**

**Hours: 37.5 hours per week**

**Office based with occasional working from home and/or from external locations. Our core hours are 9am - 5pm, with some flexibility. The role may include** **occasional weekend and/or evening work.**

**Salary: £30,000**

**Reports To**:The** **Executive Manager**

**Job Overview**: To increase income and develop funding streams enabling Sight Support Worthing to deliver its services aimed at people with visual impairments. The post holder will be working to financial targets.

**Job Summary**

The role is responsible for generating funds through donations, events and grant writing with a particular focus on building partnerships with corporate sponsors and major donors.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Manage, support and develop imaginative fundraising activities and events.
- Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and
- developing relationships with existing supporters
- Attend networking events to build connections and raise the charity profile
- Source corporate sponsors and major donors and build partnership relationships
- Leverage digital fundraising platforms such as Just Giving
- Monitor and report on fundraising budgets with the Executive Manager
- Work with the Head of fundraising, Executive Manager and Trustees to develop fundraising strategy, and set and achieve planned targets.
- Raise awareness of the charity, its service, successes and plans in the local community and through both social media and the local press.
