**College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences / School of History, Classics and Archaeology**

**Contract type: Full time (35 hours per week)**

**Fixed-term, 1 September 2024 - 31 August 2029**

**The Opportunity**:
**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- A PhD in Classics or a related field.
- Research expertise in Latin language and literature.
- Evidence of experience in teaching, indicative of commitment to and potential for excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Latin language and literature.
- Experience in teaching courses on key authors of Latin literature commonly studied at undergraduate level
- Ability to teach Latin palaeography.
