We are currently seeking to recruit an experience and enthusiastic Spiritual Care Lead to join the Family Support Team at Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford Hospice.

**Title**:Spiritual Care Lead

**Salary**:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 6 £33,706 to £40,588 pro rata per annum

**Hours/Contract**: Part time 18 hours 45 mins per week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning;
Mon 8.45 - 4.30 (1/2 hour lunch) (7 hours 15 mins).

Tues 8.45 - 4.30 (1/2 hour lunch) (7 hours 15 mins).

Wed 8.45 - 13.00 (4 hours 15 mins).

We are currently seeking to recruit an experience and enthusiastic Spiritual Care Lead to join the The Patient and Family Support Team at Bradford Hospice.

This is a varied and exciting role and will include:

- Providing spiritual support for patients, carers, and staff both in the hospice and the community.
- Training for staff and volunteers in spiritual care.
- The recruitment and management of a team of volunteers.
- The development of partnership working with multi faith groups in the local community.
- To support the wider family support team in the day to day running of the service.

Our Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands on care and vital emotional support. Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round the clock care. Marie Curie support people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.

**What we are looking for**:

- Ability to plan and work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
- Understanding the characteristics of an effective Spiritual & Religious Care service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and provide a clear vision for the Spiritual & Religious Care service and the skills to present that vision
- Awareness of current issues in Palliative Care and Healthcare Chaplaincy - Standards of Professional Practice and Code of Conduct
- Knowledge of spiritual and religious issues around endof-life care, loss and bereavement
