Our client, a national company that supply plant equipment and services into the construction industry, is seeking a pro-active Depot Manager to head up their depot in the Milton Keynes area. As Depot Manager you will have full responsibility for the operationsof the depot and will report directly to the regional director on all matters.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operational management of all aspects of the depot operations including the P&L, efficient running of the branch and managing and driving performance of the hire desk, stock management, transport, and ensuring the hire fleet is well maintained.
- Responsible for an operational team consisting of approximately 15 people.
- Work hand in hand with the sales team to support growth.
- Improve efficiencies and procedures where possible.
- Build and maintain relationship with customers.
- Responsibility for Health & Safety and Quality Management.
- Development of staff and infrastructure resources.

**Key Skills/Requirements**:

- Experience as a Depot Manager within the construction / hire industry is essential.
- A strong manager of people, with excellent relationship building skills.
- Sound commercial awareness and judgement to deliver customer excellence
- Ability to prioritise according to the demands of a busy depot.
- Attention to detail and strong administration skills.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent is desirable.
