The Financial Compliance Officer role is situated within the WMFTS Financial Compliance Team, which is responsible for helping to maintain and enhance the internal control environment across all WMFTS operating companies. As a result of UK-SOX implementation measures, there is an enhanced focus on financial processes and control compliance. The Financial Compliance Officer will utilise their technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to review and enhance internal processes and controls, working effectively with multiple key stakeholders including the senior finance community, Spirax Group finance team members and WMFTS leadership team.

There will be opportunity to contribute towards alignment, standardisation and enhancement of financial processes worldwide, adding significant value. This role is temporary for the next 30 months on a full-time basis.

This is a significant period during which there is the opportunity to work closely with the global WMFTS finance community. As such there is great potential for learning and development opportunities in a multi-national environment.

**This role will focus on**:

- You will review, monitor and enhance internal control documentation across WMFTS, working together with our finance community worldwide.
- You will work directly with WMFTS operating companies on a one-to-one basis to test and review their internal controls, preparing reports of findings for key stakeholders and delivering constructive feedback.
- You will be vital to delivering improvements in global financial processes, internal controls and general compliance, identifying and focusing on key process shortfalls.
- You will prepare and deliver key compliance-related KPI reports to key stakeholders across WMFTS.
- You will use your technical expertise to assist WMFTS operating companies with clearance of compliance-related actions, including from internal audits or external audits.
- You will identify opportunities to centralise financial control operation, to reduce burden on WMFTS operating company finance teams.
- You will assist WMFTS operating companies with preparation for internal and external audits.
- You will develop and maintain key training materials for use by WMFTS company finance teams.
- You will maintain Internal Controls specific to the WMFTS central finance function.
- You will be a reliable and trsuted expert, able to provide expert technical accounting and control-based guidance to multiple WMFTS stakeholders with differing levels of financial knowledge.
- You will deliver valuable insights to the Spirax Group Finance Team to help shape future priorities and initiatives.

**To be successful in this role, you will need**:
