Bulk Tainer Logistics are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking individual to join our QSSHE Team. The role will focus on the Environmental aspects and impacts of our business and help design solutions to lower our Carbon footprint and GHC emissions.
As a key individual you will help shape the pathway and waypoints to achieving carbon neutrality and increased sustainability within the organisation.
A successful applicant should already poses the specialist knowledge and skills to support the QSSHE department in this area.
**Key Activities & Responsibilities**
**Key Activity 1 - Project(s) - FOCUS AREA - Environment and Sustainability**
To maintain and improve the current Environmental certifications and accreditations (ISO14001, Ecovadis, SQAS)
Research and advise the QSSHE TL / Manager / Director on new environmental and sustainability programmes, industry best practice.
Ensure all environmental legislation is reviewed and updates incorporated into company policies and procedures.
Lead the identification, recording and reduction of carbon emissions and other GHC contributors.
**Key Activity 2 - Investigation**
Utilising our bespoke ERP System, investigate, identify root cause, analyse non-conformances, incidents and internal EVTS, prepare CAPA reports when required. Take the lead in all investigations with environmental impacts.
Engage the continual improvement culture with all colleagues and suppliers
**Key Activity 3 - Quality, Safety, Security, Health & Environment**
Responsible for one’s own, co-worker’s and stakeholder’s health, safety and quality. Become a First Aider, Mental Health First Aider & Fire Warden with shared responsibilities across the Stokesley offices.
Assist the QSSHE Team in all areas of responsibility as required.
**Experience, Competencies, Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge - Desirable**
Previous logistics background
Previous Tank Container industry
Previous QSSHE role experience
Conducting internal and external audits
Flexible in approach, consider the wider picture
Willing to travel and occasionally work unsocial hours
**Experience, Competencies, Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge - Essential**
Knowledge and competence in ISO Standards, particularly 14001
Investigation and analysis techniques
Effective communicator, both internally and externally
CAPA Report writing
Conducting risk assessments
High level of attention to detail
Starting salary D.O.E
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £28,000.00 per year
