**The Responsibilities***

Cooking food items (pre baked) such as breads, pies, sausauge rolls and organising tastings and cooking demonstration for our customers.

Engaging with customers, promoting Sedum Far shop products and gaining customer feedback.

Prioritising and allocating tasks to the team on a daily basis.

Competent with all farm shop functions till operation, cheese & deli counter & associated equipment.

Delivering results as instructed including planned seasonal changes.

Greeting and engaging with customers and ensuring that all team members adopt the same practice.

Monitoring & ensuring stock levels are maintained, displays are tidy and appealing, placing stock orders in the managers absence.

Ensuring all standards are met and relevant paperwork is completed to comply with food
- hygiene standards, cleaning schedule standards, company policies & procedures.

Ensuring all cooked items are recorded using a HACCP sheet.

Health & Safety standards are maintained.

Ensure that behaviour in the department is always consistent with Our Values and Behaviours.

Take responsibility for H&S and site fire safety in the managers absence.

Ensuring that the Company sale of foods standards are consistently delivered.

Prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines ie stock takes, monitoring BBE dates, daily fruit & veg quality checks.

Identifying and dealing with all issues relating to stock or the team quickly & efficiently.

Monitoring on-going operations and resolving issues promptly.

Ensuring all customers and colleagues are dealt with in a knowledegable, respectful & attentive fashion.

Organising & managing stock.

Identifying opportunities to improve sales with good quality, consistent & unique produce such as logging customer product requests, the right stock position and inter-linked selling.

Identifying & reporting any maintenance issues in the department.

Contributing to the smooth running of promotions & supplier events.

Looking after Company property including, but not limited to, machinery, equipment, retail stock, uniforms etc.

Empowering and developing yourself to your full potential with initiative & training.

Developing the team to their full potential, imparting knowledge & good practice at all times.

Keeping the Manager & Directors informed of all relevant issues.

Supporting other areas of the business when required eg Restaurant help at busy seasonal times.

At least 2 years cooking experience

Excellent customer interaction and customer service skills.

Ideally some retailing know how or feel for effective merchandising.

Be willing to work at weekends and Bank Holidays for key trading times.

Eager to look for continuous improvemnts.

Creative with displays and imaginative with promotional activity.
