**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced Receptionist committed to delivering a consistent and professional service, with a desire to exceed our customer’s expectations at every opportunity.
You will be the first point of contact for all of our clients and will also provide administrative support to other departments on a day-to-day basis. The ability to work both on your own and as part of a team is essential and you will need to be good at thinking on your feet and offering appropriate solutions, as required.
**Hours of work**: Full time (37.5 hours, 10 over 14 days), between the hours of 07:00-22:00 and some weekends required
**Salary**: £23,144 - £24,069 Competitive, plus overtime pay and enhanced rate on Sundays
Please note: Part-time hours will be considered
**Key responsibilities**:
Working within the reception team, you will carry out a wide variety of activities, with your key responsibilities to include:
- Managing the check in and check out process.
- Administration tasks within the reception role and in support of the wider teams at the Møller Institute, i.e. Finance and Events.
- Updating all online booking systems with the availability of the bedroom stock and pricing.
- To liaise with relevant departments about updates, in a timely fashion, to ensure that guests needs are met or exceeded.
- To ensure that all charges are posted to event and reservation bookings, that revenue and income is balanced daily, and, the float is checked on each shift and change is ordered when necessary.
- To take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of guests, property, the building and cash.
- Ensure that all-necessary housekeeping and maintenance is reported and carried out for the health and safety of yourself, others and all equipment.
- Ensure communication and shift handovers are such that reception can operate effectively after each shift is completed.
- To consistently deliver high levels of customer service to our clients, providing information as requested about their event, the Institute or Cambridge.

**Essential skills and experience**:
- Previous Reception experience in an hotel or similar environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Sound Microsoft office skills
**Desirable skills and experience**:
- Good understanding of Kinetics or a similar software system
- Reservation experience
