**Overseas Escorting (OSE) Operational Control Centre Operative**

**Salary : £27, 329.61 per annum**

**Hours : 42 hours a week - Shifts will be on a 4 On 4 Off pattern or a Mon - Fri shift pattern (Days, Nights & Weekends)**

**As a 24/7 operation this role will work on an annualised hours contract working pre-advised shift patterns covering both day night and weekend working. However, due to the unpredictable nature of the work, extra hours may need to be worked at short notice. Conversely you may be released from your shift early should operational needs allow.**

Overall Purpose:

- Working as an OSE Tasker, Planner, or Coordinator, monitoring all movements of returnee's from IRCs to aircraft for return flights to country of destination.
- Assisting in the planning of an assigned group of vehicles and DCOs involved in the movement of immigration returnee's between Immigration Removal Centres and airport

Main duties
- Takes control and planning of a returnee movement.
- Monitoring all returnee movements by OSE vehicles & DCOs.
- Reviews movement timings against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contract times ,flights, Immigration Removal Centres (IRCs)
- Manages live returnee movements over a day/ night shift
- Assists in decision making on returnee movements, advising DCOs accordingly.
- Retains contact with vehicle crews to confirm/clarify MO collection/delivery times, arrangements, issues
- Monitors vehicle locations, traffic, accidents and routing for all movements being undertaken or planned in the responsible area and looks for solutions to divert if required
- Liaises with DEPMU on MO updates, issues, delays caused by 3rd party locations impacting on target collection/delivery times and KPI's
- Monitors delays at IRC's on MO collection and delivery that may impact on KPI's, staff work hours and next MO tasking.
- Keep systems updated for all MI and route timing information required for all movements undertaken
- Supports vehicle crews during incidents/ accidents/ escapes/ attempted escapes/ deaths/ injuries - Monitors movements of staff and returnee until aircraft takes off
- If flight is not undertaken plans return journey
- Authorises vehicles/crews to return to home Vehicle Base and to finish shift.
- Controls and supervise MO incidents
- First point of escalation for Exception management
- Update point MEDS (OSE Database) on a daily basis
- Carry any other duties conducive to the running of the operation as and when required
- Able to be cross trained in all Operational Control Centre roles to meet operational needs

**Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel/ PowerPoint
- Good general IT skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and to meet tight and frequently changing deadlines
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK/ World Wide
- Excellent time management skills
- High Level of attention to detail
- Staff will be required to undergo **Enhanced DBS check **and vetting to **Counter Terrorist Checked (CTC) level.**:
