As a Salon Receptionist at Unique, your primary responsibility is to create a welcoming and professional atmosphere for clients from the moment they enter the salon until they leave, ensuring their experience is nothing short of 5-star quality. Your role is pivotal in providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and maintaining the salon's overall presentation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Greet clients in a professional and friendly manner, taking their coats, offering beverages, and ensuring their comfort.
- Ensure the entire client experience, from greeting to appointment booking, meets the highest standards of service.
- Maintain impeccable personal presentation, adhering to dress, hair, and makeup standards.
- Act as a salon host, providing undivided attention and exceptional customer service to clients.
- Answer telephone calls with a professional demeanor, efficiently and accurately manage bookings.
- Handle new client bookings, including scheduling appointments, performing skin tests for colour services, and taking deposits over the phone.
- Provide enthusiastic and professional information about salon services, making clients excited to visit Unique.
- Provide new clients with information about the salon, the new client pack, and assist them in scheduling their next appointment.
- Conduct occasional checks throughout the salon to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and mirror cleanliness.
- Perform occasional stock checks and assist with tasks as directed by the manager, Claire.
- Accurately handle end-of-day cashing up procedures, following provided training.
- Possibility to sell retail products to walk-in or existing clients; product knowledge will be provided during training.
- Assist with shampooing clients or toning clients' hair when the salon is busy, with training provided.
- Ensure reception desk coverage, arranging for coverage during breaks or if engaged in other tasks.
- Embrace a team-oriented approach, offering support to colleagues and contributing to the overall salon environment.
**Working Hours**:
- Wednesday: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Thursday: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
- Alternate Saturdays: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Holiday cover may be required at times
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone.
- Impeccable personal presentation and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage appointments efficiently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to salon procedures and protocols.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
- Previous experience in customer service or receptionist roles is a plus.
