Electrical Project Engineer

My client designs, manufactures and installs control systems for a range of industries across the UK with a particular focus in the food and beverage industries. They have traded successfully for a number of years and as a result of this success an opportunityhas arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to join their organisation on a full time, permanent basis.
Reporting into the Managing Director, your role will be oversee the design, co-ordination and electrical installations at designated projects.
You will be experienced at working as a key member of a team, successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes. You will work alongside the project delivery team to ensure the design, procurement, financial control, and site activities are achieved.
Other key responsibilities will include;
- Technical involvement in the preparation of tender bids including materials and labour
- Working to programmes in line with the installation process
- Managing employees and sub-contractors
- Equipment and product selection with subsequent reporting
- Liaison with internal team as well as external customers
- Commissioning
- 17th/18th Edition qualification
- Engineering / Industrial background
- Experience of control panels design and manufacture
- PLC / SCADA / HMI experience
- Safety qualifications ie IOSH
- Ability to produce project quotes and tenders including materials and labour
- Supervisory / Management experience of employees and outside contractors
- Electrical design experience, ideally using EPLAN
- IT Skills, ideally using Sympro and MS Office
- Full driving licence
- Experience within the food and beverage industries would be advantageous.
- Strong personality and ability to integrate with a lively and hard-working team with excellent interpersonal skills.
This is a full time, permanent position with an ASAP start, although my client is happy to work around any notice period. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm working a 40 hour week.
