Following on from this success we are keen to increase our market share of trussed rafter sales to the general construction sector and are looking to strengthen the team with a dedicated Trussed rafter designer.
- Design & manufacture of structural timber frame
- Design & manufacture of trussed rafter and metal web
- On site erection of timber frame, roof and floor structures

**Job role**

Trussed rafter designer

**Job purpose**

The successful applicant should ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience in roof design using Pamir or similar software.

Experience within MiTek is advantageous but training can be provided.

Experience of metal web floor design would be an advantage although not essential.

You will be responsible for the design of roof structures as well as updating and coordinating any design amendments and coordinating and liaising with external parties such as architects, consultants and specialists.

**The role**

The role of the Designer:

- Deal with production of Roof designs and material schedules, providing technical specialist information.
- Liaising with the estimating team in the production of estimates, coordinating and distributing design information to the production coordinator.
- Manage technical questions and queries.
- Be a lateral thinker with a flair for design and attention to detail who will help the company’s success.
- Be able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Report directly to the Design Technical.

**The individual**

The successful applicant for this role will:

- Have a strong technical knowledge of building regulations and environmental standards.
- Have strong CAD & IT skills.
- Be a good communicator working alongside colleagues, clients, architects and erectors.
- Remain commercially aware, producing cost effective designs.
- Have a good work attendance record.
- A method of transport would be advantageous.

**Working hours & remuneration package**

Working hours - Typically 40 hours per week however flexibility will be required from time to time.

Full time and on a partly remote basis.

**Package**
- Salary: £30,000.00 - £36,000.00 + benefits depending on experience.
- 20 days holiday plus statutory holidays.
- Company pension scheme.
- Auto enrolment into our Health Shield plan after 6 months service.
