Contract Surveyor

Rapid Response Maintenance is an exciting fast-paced maintenance company that is expanding quickly. We have an exciting opportunity to join our well-established company in the Essex area as a surveyor.

As a surveyor you will be expected to manage Planned and Major works to the successful completion within SLA’S and set targets.

Liaise with: Voids Manager, Client Surveyors, and planned works team

Responsible for: Engineers and subcontractors

**Job Description**:

- Pre and Post works Inspections
- Scope site visits (multiple from start to finish on jobs)
- Scoping of works
- Recording of accidents or incidents on IT system.
- Rams and Asbestos checks for all assigned properties
- Allocating permits
- Leaving a Site Box
- Recording Snagging and ensuring this gets completed ASAP allocating engineers to do this
- Final sign off of works with client

As a surveyor you will attend sites for all assigned works, to confirm key stages are on track.

To check quality of work are within acceptable guidelines, safe working practices and materials quality and availability. Ensure Scope of works is read and actionable (i.e. planned so anyone can allocate resources, order materials etc)
- Strong knowledge of building trade
- Must have previous experience as a surveyor (at least 3 years)
- Knowledge on relevant legislation/regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Very well organised

28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays.

Own transport is essential due to our office location. You will be provided with a vehicle when going out to site.
