About the Team
Ecommerce's Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality.

The IPR & Brand function sits within the Governance and Experience team, and is committed to protecting intellectual property rights (IPR) and maintaining a healthy and safe e-commerce environment on TikTok's E-commerce Platforms.

The EMEA team covers all markets in which TikTok Shop operates, across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

**Responsibilities**:
Seller Vetting Governance
- Identify gaps, loopholes, and deficiencies in IPR policies, processes, and metrics, and initiate projects to improve effectiveness of seller vetting.
- Working with vendors and moderators to ensure seller vetting policies and processes are effective at minimizing IPR risk.
- Cooperating closely with business operations teams to ensure fast resolution of seller-related escalations, creating new frameworks to optimize onboarding processes.
- Driving reactive and proactive reviews of sellers suspected of attempting to provide fraudulent documentation, including establishing effective deterents.
- Taking ownership of the policy area, creating educational materials for sellers, internal colleagues, and raising external awareness of TikTok's seller vetting practices.

Business Planning
- Supporting the EMEA team to fully utilize operational IPR metrics and risk signals, to effectively monitor various aspects of IPR risk, enabling the rollout of scalable governance strategies.
- Collect data and conduct labeling and segmentation analysis to understand and minimize IPR risk.
- Supporting management reporting of key metrics across all IPR domains.
- Own and/or manage cross-functional projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency.
- Utilize your proficiency in data analysis, including tools like SQL, to drive data-driven decision-making and continuously improve IPR strategies.
- Assess gaps in business processes and cross-functional collaboration workflows, propose changes to algorithms, tooling, and data science to enable higher efficiency and better performance.
- Respond to high-priority escalations to ensure bad actor behaviour is caught and handled in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- At least 5 years experience in one or more of the following areas: risk governance operations, e-commerce risk management, trust & safety, strategy consulting.
- Demonstrated capacity for critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively liaise with people at all levels.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and metrics, find trends and implement solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in collaborating with different business and technical stakeholders. Able to develop and execute project plans, independently monitor, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
- Fluency in English in both written and spoken form.
- Experience in e-commerce risk governance or Intellectual Property risk governance will be a plus.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant fields.
