**Stores Assistant**

Location: Thirsk

Salary: Scale 3 £21,432 - £22,677

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Stores Assistant to join our Logistics team supporting North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

As a Stores Assistant, you will be responsible for:

- The procurement of all low value items in line with the current procurement policy
- The delivery of all material to estate locations across North Yorkshire
- Ensuring there is an audit trail of all ordering, issuing and receiving of stock
- The processing, organising and storing of inventory
- Answering day to day enquires and providing advice or guidance to all stakeholders.
- The provision of accurate, relevant and timely logístical and financial data in relation to supply of clothing and equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Have the relevant qualification(s) in logistics or demonstrable experience of delivering high quality customer orientated support services to meet required SLAs and KPIs, ideally in a high volume environment.
- You will have to demonstrate excellent customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with a broad range of diverse and demanding customers across a variety of platforms.
- You will need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and IT systems, have a high level of attention to detail and be comfortable with producing accurate data and information.
- Must hold a driving licence.
