If this sounds like you, maybe a Support Worker role with an award-winning charity is the change you’ve been looking for At this service in Aberdeen, we support individuals with a wide range of needs to live as independently as possible in their own flats. The individuals you'll be supporting range in age from 29 to 71 and enjoy lots of great activities, so we're looking for people to join the team who are interested in trying new things and supporting people to achieve their own personal goals. Some of the individuals we support are non-verbal and use Makaton to communicate, so previous experience using Makaton would be great. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support people with going to play pool, going to work placements, doing arts and crafts, playing pool, playing video games, gardening and spending time out in the community visiting local cafes or attending events. Our staff team are very supportive and experienced and also provide some support with: - Medication administration - Cooking and home maintenance - Positive behaviour support - Social support and support to achieve personal goals - Managing the finances of the people we support Our team provide support 7 days a week, so we ask for flexibility to work a variety of shifts from Monday-Sunday and this will include some sleepover shifts. Our shift patterns can vary, but some examples of typical shifts are listed below: - 10am - 10am the next day (includes sleepover) - 8am - 4.30pm - 8am - 6pm We are currently recruiting for a part time person.and driving license is essential for this role.
