Crewing Officer

Eastern Airways are recruiting for a crewing officer to join our team based at Humberside Airport. This role requires someone with a strong administrative background, with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
We work 40 hours a week on a rotating shift pattern, with free on-site parking. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a background within aviation or similar industry to enhance their skillset and join a fast moving, forward thinking business. Please be aware the role will require some weekend working.
**ROLE PURPOSE**
To establish, build and amend crew rosters, manage travel and accommodation for crews, and co-ordinate crew activities on the day and in advance for operational requirements.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage crew rosters in accordance with CAA and any other mandatory or regulatory requirements
- To support when required in booking crew transport to/from a duty or to/from accommodation as part of any duty or roster
- Ensure crew are aware of any changes to any roster in conjunction with crewing team
- Monitor and manage crew duties to avoid fatigue or exceedance of duty limitations
- Liaising with operations to cover roster requirements
- Initiation of future cost saving opportunities and cost management measures including involvement with operations system upgrades to benefit the crew and company hotel and travel booking and cancellation processes
- Support operations, flight operations and customer support teams to assist in bookings as required
- Responsible for oversight of company’s crew travel and hotel costs, ensuring we are using the most cost-effective methods of booking and cancellations available
- Support with input into the training and supervision of all crewing and operations staff
- Have an input into and support with safety oversight and reporting
- Support team with operational and crewing procedures, manuals and regulatory adherence
- To support other areas when required
- Any other duties to support the operations and crewing department as required and directed
- To act in accordance with the core values of the business at all times
- To undertake any other relevant duties as and when requested by management
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
**MANDATORY**
- Minimum of 2 years in admin/customer facing role
- Proficient in MS Office software
- Worked in similar fast paced working environment
- Good standard of education
