**What will you be doing?**

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all Waterlooville Group facilities to a world class standard. Key responsibilities include:

- Keep all Waterlooville Group facilities cleaned and maintained to a world class standard at all times, inclusive of but not limited to the following:

- Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping of floors
- Dusting and wiping of all surfaces, such as windowsills, skirting boards and tables
- Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas
- Ensuring hygiene products are routinely stocked and topped up, such as handwash, hand sanitiser and toilet roll
- Ensuring that kitchens and bathrooms are cleaned daily and maintained to a world class standard of cleanliness and hygiene
- Keeping internal windows clean and smear free
- Emptying of bins and disposal of rubbish in all areas
- Sanitising and wiping of all door handles and human touch points
- Cleaning of various machines on shop floor and associated areas to ensure environment is clean and safe
- Ensure that all reception areas are inviting and showcase the Group image in terms of cleanliness
- Keep cleaning supplies stores safely and ensure that they are always appropriately stocked to ensure maximum efficiency
- React quickly and efficiently to emergent priorities such as spillages or incidents to preserve cleanliness and prevent health and safety issues occurring
- Act as a key holder for all buildings

**Essential Skills**:
**What do you need?**

Our successful Facilities Assistant will have previous cleaning experience on a large scale. You will also possess:

- Previous cleaning of large machinery advantageous
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods as well as colour coding
- Ability to deliver world class standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Physically able to cope with labour intensive work.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Personable, responsive with a positive attitude and good work ethic
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Full driving license preferred

**Essential Requirements**:** What do you need?**
