Teaching Assistant

Job Description:
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons in English, Math, and Science.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance or extension activities.
- Help create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic growth.
- Support classroom management and behavior management strategies as directed by the lead teacher.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of classroom materials, resources, and equipment for lessons and activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback to students on their work and assist in the assessment and grading process.
- Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and extracurricular activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required by the school.
- Uphold the school's policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding, equality, and diversity.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and adhere to safeguarding policies.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
- Positive attitude and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people.
