Ward Clerk

An opening has become available in the Endoscopy Department at North Tyneside Hospital for an enthusiastic and friendly ward clerk. Although the post is at North Tyneside in extreme circumstances you may be asked to provide cover at one of our other sites within the service.

To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, covering one of the largest geographical areas of any NHS trust in the country. To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.

To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients.
