**Techni have a fantastic opportunity to be a sole HR Generalist for a family run business in Shrewsbury. Working closely with the Commercial and Operations Managers to manage the day-to-day operation as well as plan for and shape the future, there is never a dull moment**

Techni are a design, manufacture and install company who distribute compressor mount kits globally through our international companies in the UK, Spain, and the USA.

We are currently seeking a positive, approachable, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our company. This role would be ideally suited to a time served HR Officer or Advisor who will use their initiative to drive the HR function of the business.

**Role Purpose**: To encompass professional support to managers and employees in all aspects of HR, throughout all areas of the business, whilst always working to HR best practice. To implement and grow new initiatives to support the growth of the business. To ensure knowledge of labour always and regulations relating to the hiring and firing of employees as always kept up to date.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Be the first point of contact for HR related queries
- All elements of the full employee lifecycle, including but not exclusively:

- The recruitment process, including publishing recruitment adverts, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding. Provide guidance to recruiting managers on interviewing and job descriptions. Strategically analysing what jobs are need in the business to ensure business growth.
- Ensure all new employees are welcomed into the business from point of recruitment process, the point of arrival for interview and until their induction.
- Ensure resignations are acknowledged in a timely manner, the Line Manager is aware of the process and any outstanding annual leave is calculated in accordance with the employee’s terms and conditions
- Ensure exit interviews are conducted for all staff
- Respond to reference requests for current or ex-members of staff
- Analysing trends, and increasing staff retention
- Use and analyse people data (i.e. absence management and performance) to support the managers in making HR recommendations to the business.
- Act as a point of contact for queries from employees and management, either providing timely and accurate advice or signposting on as appropriate.
- Ensure the HR database is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation, forecasting any upcoming changes to theses.
- Creating and changing the company culture and bedding this to create a positivity.
- Administer the probation/performance review process ensuring Managers know when review meetings need to take place
- Work alongside colleagues in all departments on matters relating to performance management, training and development, on-boarding and off-boarding, employee wellness
- Ensure electronic personnel files are maintained and filing/archiving is completed in a timely manner
- Run an expert administration system to help streamline and refine HR processes and systems.
- Development cross department training to ensure efficiency.
- Monthly KPI reporting prepared promptly for manager meetings.
- Build strong relationships with our employees working across the varied aspects of the business, as you will be their first point of contact and support
- Understand and work to Employment Law and ACAS employment best practices - Maintain knowledge of employment law updates and changes and how they may impact company policies or procedures, ensuring company compliance.
- Be able to evaluate individual performances and process disciplinary procedure where appropriate including cross company personal development plans are in place
- Be available to give support and guidance to team managers in relation to HR matters affecting their team members, as well as training managers to have a basic HR skill.
- Proactively Initiate and lead various projects throughout the year.
- Effectively utilise online systems that aid core HR requirements - following up with company training for weakness areas
- Collate and process all payroll information to send over to the external payroll company and deal with any queries from both payroll and employees
- Complete other duties as assigned from time to time as required by the business
