**Job overview**:

- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Secretary to join the team on Alderley Unit.We are looking to recruit a highly organised individual who will be expected to provide confidential, accurate and timely administrative duties. You should possess commitment to team working, be proactive in your work ethic, able to manage your own workload and be expected to show initiative and be responsive to the needs of the service

The post holder will also need to be an effective communicator with good written skills which would support them in communicating with service users, carers and health and social care professionals.

**Main duties of the job**:
**Service Overview: Alderley Unit, A 10 bedded low secure Autism Spectrum Disorder and intellectual disability ward.**:

- We are proud of being caring, competent and compassionate, with patients at the heart of what we do. We aim to provide high quality, safe services which improve the health, well-being, and independence of the people within our locality.Staff Team: The Alderley Unit has a staff team who provide professional support to patients on a 24-hour basis. The Ward Manager over-sees the unit, supported by clinical leads. There are qualified nurses and clinical support workers on shift at all times.

An onsite therapy team consisting of Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Assistant Practitioners and Speech and Language Therapy, work alongside unit staff to ensure a person-centred approach to treatment and rehabilitation.

A Consultant Psychiatrist is based on site who is responsible for co-ordinating the medical treatment and care of all patients and is supported by a Specialist Registrar and medical staff.
