**Role Overview**:
As a 1:1 Nurture Mentor, you will work closely with students with SEND and mental health challenges, providing personalised support to help them overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential. Based in the Wigan and Leigh areas, you will play a crucial role in promoting inclusion and fostering positive relationships with students, teachers, and families.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide 1:1 support to students with SEND and mental health needs, both in academic and social-emotional contexts.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans and strategies tailored to the individual needs of each student.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Create a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.

**Requirements**:

- Degree-level qualification in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience working with students with SEND and mental health challenges in a school or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation, best practices, and interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude.
