**Laundry Assistant - Part Time**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Laundry Assistant to join our team at our care home: Deneside Court, Jarrow, NE32 4PJ.

**Duties of a Laundry Assistant
Provide laundry services, such as:

- Collecting dirty items (e.g., clothes, towels & linen).
- Putting dirty items into the washing machine to be cleaned.
- Transferring washed items into the dryer or onto drying equipment.
- Folding (and if appropriate ironing) dried items.
- Putting folded items back in the relevant storage space.
- Be responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of the laundry room and equipment
- Stock-taking of liquids and IPC items
- Reporting of any repairs needed to Maintenance
- Be polite and respectful in communication with staff, residents, or external visitors.
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service.
- Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people in the service.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals one supports.
- Attend all statutory training, meetings and any others as directed by a manager.
- Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of CQC and their requirements.
- Understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role (including IPC procedures)
- Understand and follow and relevant risk assessments.
- Be open to learning opportunities.
- Have a full working knowledge of COSHH regulations

**Schedule**
- Part-time
- 16 hours per week (4 x 4 hour shifts - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 10am-2pm)

**Pay Rate**
- PS10.75 per hour
