If so, and you want to play your part in ensuring your local community has safe, clean drinking water, then our Water Refill Unit Operative is the role for you
**What can I expect?**
As a Water Refill Unit Operative your role is to clean and maintain the water refill units across the picturesque Wessex Water region which covers Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater, and everything in between.
Day-to-day duties include:
- cleaning the water refill units to a high standard to ensure we are compliant with regulations and to maintain a high level of water quality for our customers
- completing regular maintenance of the water refill units in line with the suppliers’ recommendations
- ensuring health and safety procedures are complied with
- accurately record and collect all data required for the water refill units (i.e, meter reads and app updates)
- the management of your own duties and being available to attend emergencies during working hours if required
- ensuring they have enough equipment and fittings to repair the water refill units, and to report to their manager when there is a requirement for more
- to assist the water quality team to take stop tap samples on the water refill units when they fail to ensure a faster turnaround time to get the units back in use.
**What do I need?**
To be a successful Water Refill Unit Operative you will have excellent customer service skills, be able to think on your feet and solve problems quickly and efficiently. To do this you will use your clear communication and strong organisational skills.
In addition, we are looking for:
- commercial awareness
- time management skills
- good Microsoft Office skills (Including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint)
- valid driving licence.
If you have previous experience undertaking training such as manual handling, first aid, COSHH and Water Hygiene it would be beneficial, however full training is provided during the probation period.
