**Job summary**:
We’re looking for a talented economic leader to join our busy economics directorate working on an array of economic issues. Working in a small team will mean you will focus on both micro and macro economic issues, as diverse and interesting as net-zero, housing, fiscal policy and mitigating inflation impacts; amongst others. It’s an exciting time to join the team as it re-builds under a new Chief Economic Advisor and this role will specifically provide leadership for economic analysis. Coming with this is a real opportunity to be able to influence a small island government and the new economic agenda being developed by the government. We are looking for strong technical skills, but more important is an attitude of helpfulness, a desire to solve problems and a willingness to work flexibly at speed; advising senior officers and Ministers alike. The role is equivalent to a Deputy Director or experienced G6 in the UK government and would suit economists with 15+ years experience respectively.
