**Job Title: Children's Home Team Leader**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide leadership and supervision to a team of residential support workers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to children and young people.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the children's home, including staff deployment, rostering, and resource management.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the team, tailored to the individual needs and preferences of each child.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans, making adjustments as necessary to ensure positive outcomes for the children.
- Act as a point of contact for external agencies, professionals, and stakeholders involved in the care of the children, maintaining effective communication and partnership working.
- Provide guidance, support, and supervision to staff, including regular performance appraisals and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures governing the operation of children's homes, including safeguarding requirements.
- Promote a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement within the children's home.

**Qualifications**:

- NVQ Level 4/5 in Leadership and Management for Care Services or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care.
- Significant experience working with children and young people in a residential setting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice guidelines governing the operation of children's homes (e.g., Children Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000).
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve shared goals.
- Strong communication and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to resolve conflicts and address complex issues effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to provide holistic care and support to children.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A valid driving license and access to own transport (desirable).
