The role will be to oversee the food production and serving of the best food possible to our wards within the Atherleigh Park unit - approx 70 service users. Our guests are from a varied and wide cultural background meaning that the post holder must be aware of different diet requirements.
You will work in tandem with our colleagues from departments within the clinical teams and dietitians to deliver the food most suitable and which also brings some joy to meal times.
You will be responsible for overseeing all ordering and working alongside designated suppliers.
The role will be based on 5 days a week including a regular Sunday shift (enhancements are paid for weekend work) Shifts based around 9am-5.30pm (Room for negotiation on midweek days)

Supervising and leading a small and committed catering team, including assisting with their e-learning and completing supervisions.
working in partnership with Ward managers and their clinical teams
Completing regular audits with management for the site (food areas only)
Accepting food deliveries from a range of suppliers
Ordering of food and consumables for the site
Overseeing training and supervisions/ appraisals of the team
Rota work alongside manager
Attending meetings with Ward managers on site
Working with suppliers
Menu development and an understanding of GP management
Overseeing Food Hygiene standards and all mandatory paperwork
Experience in working with special diets is preferred but not essential
