Our Halifax based client is looking to recruit a **Quality Technician** to undertake routine testing and inspection.

Our client is a leader in the field of heat treatment. They have been providing world class, bespoke service solutions and premium quality processing for the precision engineering industry since 1860.

**Main duties and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will ensure that our client’s high standards are achieved consistently. You will undertake the following tasks:

- Examine processed parts using a variety of testing techniques.
- Raise data cards and carry out contract review to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Check compliance to Quality Systems and customer specifications.
- Maintain daily check requirements.
- Assist in preparation for and participate in internal and external audits.
- Maintain good working practices and housekeeping in line with company health, safety, environmental and quality systems.
- Control quarantined and non-conforming goods. Monitoring and timely resolution of non-conformities, corrective / preventative actions, and error proofing.
- Manage records and data using filing systems.
- Other duties pertinent to the post that may be requested at any time.

**Required Knowledge, Training and Experience**:

- GCSE/Level 2 English and Maths or evidence of a good standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Team working is essential, as is the understanding to seek advice when unsure.
- Experience of working in a Heat Treatment Facility and a lab environment would be advantageous. However, full training will be provided.
- Working remotely from line manager and without direct supervision.
- Working within a fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing activities.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
