### Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-oriented car valeter able to clean and turn out cars to a retail standard, experience preferred, driving license an advantage, self starting individual with an interest in the motor trade and attention to detail.

We are a small growing family business that does the following

( 1 ) Paint and carry out minor repairs to mostly private customers cars, light commercial vehicles and mobile homes, we do not do insurance work or major crash repair work.

( 2 ) We also refurbish alloy wheels including diamond cut.

( 3 ) We also intend to introduce ceramic coating to our services in the near future.

( 4 ) We also sell the odd car and light commercial vehicle.

Therefore although the job is advertised as a car valeter, we are essentially looking for a person interested in becoming proficient in the above said 3 things, which we will be prepared to provide training in. therefore although the starting wage is being offered at £ 12 per hour, that will increase on a regular basis as the applicant develops his skills in the above said 3 things.

Over-time is possible should the applicant wish it and thus gives the opportunity to earn more.

We are a small business that began trading a few weeks before the first Covid lock down and therefore although the business has been trading for around three and a half years, it essentially only began to trade after the Covid lock downs ended, since then the business has gradually built up whereby we require more staff to meet demand, we enjoy repeat customers and recommendations. we also enjoy a reputation for turning out quality work at reasonable prices below industry average. We pride ourselves in the standard of work we turn out and in achieving customer satisfaction. We probably have one of the most experienced Painters anywhere that takes pride in his work and the standards he achieves and in my opinion is by far the best I have come across in my over 30 years in the motor trade, he has worked with myself from around 30 years ago and therefore is probably one of the best for anyone to learn from or be trained by.

The starting wage offered is £ 12 per hour for a 40 hour week, however that would increase on a regular basis as the applicant develops his skills in the 3 said fields and becomes a valued staff member. And once the applicant has developed his said skills there is the prospect of their achieving the status of hands on manager or assistant manager with the appropriate increase in wages. Earning potential is therefore good for the right person willing to put the effort in. We also endeavour to provide good working conditions in our modern well fitted work shops and a happy working environment for staff.

For a person that is an experienced valeter with an eye for detail, and who understand the basics of the motor trade, in the normal such a person is well suited to learn and be trained in the said 3 fields, advance their career and increase their earning potential, given many people begin as valeters and then progress in to other fields of the motor trade as the opportunities arise. Basically therefore, we are looking for a good all rounder that is willing to turn their hands to most things.

In the first instance, for by the valeting duties, we would be looking for the applicant to learn how to assist with and undertake the work involved in alloy wheel refurbishment, the diamond cutting machine is computer based and therefore if you have even the basic knowledge of computers that would be helpful, however even if you have no knowledge of computers, we should be able to train a self starting person how to operate the machine, and if there is a shortage of wheel work, the applicant would be expected to assist under supervision in the paint shop, whereby you may pick up and learn how to paint vehicles and the work associated with that. Through time we would expect that the applicant to be able to do small jobs without supervision in keeping with the wage you should reasonably be earning.
