**Overview**

This well-established, international organisation are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team. The role is based at their offices in Guildford town centre, and they are offering a hybrid working pattern.

This is a 6 month fixed term contract and would suit someone who has previous experience working in a purchase ledger role and who is immediately available or available at short notice.

**Purchase Ledger Clerk - About the Role**

Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for a variety of purchase ledger activities which will include:

- Reviewing invoices profiled on the electronic approval system
- Assisting with the profiling of technical invoices such as rolling Counsel fee notes
- Assisting with the on boarding of new vendors, including bank detail verifications
- Entering credit card statements and expenses onto the AP system
- Preparing approved invoices for payment
- Making payments in multiple currencies by BAC's and CHAP's
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Monitoring aged creditor information
- Reconciling bank statements
- Assisting with any other reasonable requests as determined by AP team leaders and other senior finance managers

**Essential skills and experience**:

- Experience of working in a high-volume Accounts Payable team is essential
- Basic book-keeping knowledge
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritise key tasks
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Highly numerate
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
