About the role

We are recruiting for a Co-operative Surveyor / Building Safety Surveyor on a full time permanent basis to assist 5 neighbourhood co-operatives to deliver their landlord requirements in relation to asset management and building safety.€€

The primary role will be to carry out a variety of multi-discipline surveys, collecting and compiling data acquired in order to compile schedules of works, planned and cyclical programs and building safety improvement programs where necessary.€

Working in accordance with the Co-operative Committees Policies, Procedures and instructions, you will ensure the co-operatives are able to meet their landlord requirement's in all areas of asset management and that approved contractors adhere to works ordered as identified by yourself.

About you

For this role, it is essential that you have a BTEC HND/HNC or equivalent ability or have vocabulary, verbal reasoning and numerical skills to the equivalent ability level. A professional qualification in a maintenance, construction or asset management related field (RICS, CIOB or equivalent) would be desirable for this position.

You will be confident in compiling reports to Committees, and executive detailing complex technical programme progress or exceptions in a non-complex way and have the ability to understand business consequences to financial performance.

You must be able to communicate and work with internal and external customers, stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, with varying needs and involve them in the development of services. Previous experience of working in stressful environments and diffusing, mediating and calming situations and emotional, difficult or distressed people is also essential.

You must be diplomatic and persuasive, with the ability to resolve conflict and influence people.

Previous contract management experience and onsite supervision€is desirable.
