**PET-Xi is hiring Join Our Mission to Empower Learners Science Tutor Wanted in Manchester on a Fixed-Term contract**

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced **Science Tutor** to tutor GCSE **Science **to secondary students.

You will be primarily responsible for the delivery of pre-designed key stage 3-4 **Science **materials, that means:

- Less Marking
- Less lesson planning
- Support with Pre-prepared lesson materials

This is a field-based role covering the **Manchester**, where you will be tasked with the following:

- Delivering up to 5, 1-hour sessions to small groups of 3 students
- Completing brief progress reports

**Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience with engaging with young peoples’ activities
- Ability to engage with and inspire young learners by using appropriate training techniques and inter-personal skills
- Create an appropriate learning environment and maintain a disciplinary framework by demonstrating a strong ‘presence’ in the classroom
- Be capable of modifying delivery method dependant on the learners in the group
- Be able to work to deadlines
- Have good ICT skills using Microsoft Office software
- The ability to adapt to different learning styles at pace

In order to deliver this qualification to PET-Xi standards, staff must hold (or be working towards):

- A level 3 or higher teaching qualification
- An Enhanced current DBS check, preferably on the update service. (Essential)

- Excellent communication skills
- Presentation, written and verbal.
- Time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage own diary.
